Food is served in both the relaxed atmosphere of the Tongue & Groove Cafe, and in the historic Barn. Picnics are also available by arrangement.

THE TONGUE & GROOVE CAFE
built in 1999 within the gardens of Ford House. 

Breakfast: Every morning, the cafe plays host to guests who stay overnight in our accommodation. Home baked bread, homemade preserves, jams, cereals and yoghurt, roast almonds, dried fruits, as well as honey cured bacon and local eggs all grace the table for the first meal of the day.

Lunch: Open 10.00am - 5.00pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and other times by appointment. The food  is all home made including the bread, savoury delights & sweet passions,  cappuccinos and many types of tea. Eat indoor or outside. Dinner: Every night of the week, by arrangement. Candlelit, intimate and delicious. As with eating "at home" , the menu is set unless special requests need to be followed. Three course meals may include Rack of lamb, chicken Valencia, fillet steak, Tasmanian salmon or other delectables. Particular attention is paid to the local vegetables, each individually flavoured. Not open at present.

THE HISTORIC BARN

Built in 1896, over 109 years ago, the hand adzed slab barn is the perfect venue for birthdays & special feasts, Wintry Christmas Indulgences, conferences and other grand occasions. One entire wall is lined with bottled fruit picked on the property. The walls and floors are thick Jarrah slabs. The central, curved "boardroom" sits 16 comfortably, and the whole room easily seats 30 to 40. The entire back wall opens so that a marquee can be added to make grand feasts for up to 80 guests.
